Gingerbread Recipe


125g butter
90g brown sugar
155g golden syrup
1 egg yolk
250g plain flour
1tsp baking powder 
1 drop doTERRA cinnamon oil
1 drop doTERRA clove oils
2 drops doTERRA ginger oil
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until smooth, add the golden       syrup, egg yolk, cinnamon, clove, and ginger oils and beat again.
2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and nutmeg and blend into the butter          mixture until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
3. Preheat oven to 175 deg c. Roll the dough into round lengths about 5cm’s       in diameter, cut evenly into round shapes, and place on lined tray.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 8 – 10 minutes or until firm. Remove from trays     to cool on wire racks.  
My favourite way to eat them is slightly undercooked, straight from the oven.
